Entering third and final trimester

Photo updates: Me at 27 weeks - 3rd trimester! Actually I'm not sure if I'm now in 3rd trimester, according to this website  Pregnancy Length , upon entering Week 27 is at month 7th and also starting of 3rd trimester: But some sources do say you're only entering 3rd trimester in the 28th week. Ah so confusing!  Gotta Pee. Like. Now. Starting this week, I feel like my bladder can only hold so little water and I have to go pee every now and then. It become worse when my boy is actively squirming, kicking and I'm caught in a traffic jam or a long meeting with major client or even simply after lying down, reluctant to get up. Almost every night I have to wake up at least 1 time to clear the bladder. Oh, so this is how nature prep us mother-to-be for the sleepless nights when baby finally arrives? Backache and sleeping issues My baby bump is relatively bigger at this point of time, so it does give a very heavy burden to my back. Even before

My beloved 4-legged

No, I have not forgotten my dearest Cocoa, she just celebrated her 1st birthday last 16th of November and I felt so obligated to write an update post about her since the last post is when we got her home. 1. Unwilling to sleep in her cage/ room The few first nights we have her home was disaster. Just like new parents, we coped with her cries and whines.. As we caged her at night. She poop and pee  everywhere in the cage, stepped and bathed in it. We got to clean the poop early in the morning before leaving to work, this is too much work so it left us no choice but to let loose of her sleeping in our room. She definitely has separation anxiety. Still remembers vividly that we took turns waking up at night to bring her out for poop n pee. As puppy unable to hold their bladder through the night yet. Only by around 6 month old she is able to sleep through the night, and so does us. - First night home, caging her wasn't successful, sigh - 2. Training I'm not a goo

Pregnancy Updates: Half way there!

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now! It's a halfway milestone and it has been really smooth *touch wood* so far since the beginning of 2nd trimester. The vomiting and nausea seems to be gone overnight as I moved into Week 14. The very day my iPhone app congratulate me on my milestone, I felt a gush of energy rushing back to my body. And, for the first time in 3 months I felt... hungry! It was such a great feeling, I got ready to work and before heading out, I put up joss sticks to thank god for this miracle. And I kept my fingers, toes and everything crossed this feeling last. I bet my baby is a very punctual baby, just like the daddy. So with the deadly morning sickness gone, I am feeling myself again and started to enjoy the pregnancy much. My rhintis seems to get better after hubby installed the air purifier in our room and I get good sleeps every night with clear nostrils. My bump is showing and everyone is quite surprised to see a bump at just beginning of 3rd month. I research

Pregnancy Update: 1st Trimester

Cloud 9 about us being pregnant did not last too long. When I started the 6th week of pregnancy the world seems to turn around. I lost ALL my appetite on food. Yes, morning sickness kicked in and it was really hitting me hard without any signs. I was literally vomiting every single drop of juice in my stomach EVERY morning. It was sour and bitter, I just couldn't stop it until I totally ruined the throat. I vomit at the trigger of cigarette smell, oily food smell and any kind of irritant that I've not thought of before. I vomit in the mid of the night, first thing awake, while driving to work (ever ready plastic bags in the handbag), on the way walking from carpark to office, in the office, after lunch, after dinner.... You name it. At least 10 times a day. And lasted from the 6th week to the end of 1st trimester.  Not a single food can make me feel hungry. Experienced friends advices me to munch on crackers, but I hate the taste. I went on days without being ab

It's Positive!

Disclaimer: Wrote this piece of entry about 2 months ago, when I first found out I'm pregnant (weee...!!) But thought of not jinxing the whole thing by telling the world, so I waited until my first trimester ended to tell the world. :-D~ ********************* A month after getting the negative sign on the sticks, I actually went ahead to start a new job. Then, we become neutral about continuing the try outs. So, we opt for happy-go-lucky without much anticipation and proper planning. Well, along that month I continued the folic acid and "Eu Yan Sang's Pak Foong Pills" thinking it anyhow is supplement and good for ladies trying out. Least that I expect to see the 2 lines this very month - July. It was really clear in my memory, the date, July 19th, 2013. That very day I felt a little urge to try out the pee sticks and simply walked to Guardian during lunch time to grab one. I hold on the it and never at all expect it will be positive. When the 1st line emerged

Well well.. it's negative

Wrote this on Friday (21st June): My period supposed to due tomorrow but up to today I have no usual PMS symptoms like mood swings or sore breast. But instead I felt rather different this month, with a significantly bigger breast and a little sting on the uterus since 1 week ago. I also have real frequent urination experience, like every 20mins I visited the loo at office. On top of it, I'm also having bad headache everyday from 3pm onwards. Bad headache plus a stomach filled with wind/gas/bloat whatever! I dragged the days from 3 to 6pm to leave office. Upon reaching home, I'm already in bed around 9+ and probably asleep soundly latest by 10, without me realizing it! And another funny thing is that I'm having a weird crave for hot water -.-'' I love the taste so much now, even if it's kind burning my lips and tongue. I'm not sure all these weird feelings are my new PMS symptoms or could I be possibly pregnant? So I checked more scientifically. I was

Hubby's Three-O Celebrations

My hubby turned 30 last May 25th. But since he had work to do on his exact birthday, I kinda arranged a surprise gift for him a week earlier. Something I planned way ahead. I sent him a facebook event invitation to a "Mysterious Event" on 19th May, 9:00am. So the night before, I told him to sleep earlier, as the "event" tomorrow might be a little physical demanding. So there, we were awake on that day around 7:30am, and had breakfast before heading out. I drove us towards the destination, and Wil had not single idea what am I doing or where I'm heading. Not until I passed by the airport and he said, "Are we flying?" Oh well.. yeah.. He threw me an exclamation mark face :) The way to FAS Udara Flying Club wasn't that easy, even with GPS! It's so hidden and Wil started to show his concerned face as whether I got the right way or not.  Anyhow, we arrived at this place at 10.10am, our flight is 10:30am  We filled up a form with

New hairstyle

After the wedding, I have a sudden urge to cut my hair super short.. apart from being bored with the super long hair I had all these while and also cause my new house is very the hot! It's burning hot and my hair is not stylish already always being needed to tie up in bun.  So I google-d the best saloon in town, and come to conclusion to try out the Saloon 76 ( http://www.76style.com/ ) as their styles are very japanese/korean type and I did want that kind of effect. Well, it was a really huge courage to cut my hair from waist length to ear length. So of course I did enough survey on what hairstyle to follow. So I was thinking this hairstyle...  Ya.. I know, it's not short also! But it's pretty right? And then I realise that fringe wont go along with me, I never look nice in short fringe. So... I chose this instead: Short right?? Imagine my hair is now waist length, I will cut off 2/3 of it to look like the above photo!  Well, I am really determined th

Married Life

To date, we have been officially married  for 3 months, anybody that I come across will shoot me this question: HOW'S MARRIED LIFE? Ok.. So perhaps it's quite a good topic to blog about. Formal Title Being officially a Mrs now. Even though we are legally married some months ago, the "married" feelings just emerge now in full force. Especially when Banjaran Resort addressed me as Mrs Lai, a sudden strike in the head, oh yea.. I am a Mrs now. When I do introduce myself to people, and when they ask, I said "Yes, married." Somehow it just make me feel more mature and finally accepted the fact that I have walked into the aunty category. Sigh. Staying Together We have been a couple for 11 years, but we have never stay in the same house before. So now, we share bed, toilet, wardrobe, bathroom, study room etc. It was not that easy at first, I have my ways of organizing things and he has his ways. So in the end, one of us will have to compromise and gi

New Family Member - Cocoa

It is in our plan to get a dog when we move in together after marriage. We have been in dilemma to either get a Chow Chow or Labrador Retriever. We were all certain that we love big dogs that look stout and strong with very dominant features. So now we're living together, our plan can be realized. So I started really seriously checking out both breeds' traits and temperament, to suit our style and need. We need a companion dog. Our requirements for the kind of dog are: Can be a family dog, as we are staying with in laws. Not too difficult to train, as we are first time amateur dog owner. Do not have bad breath, body odour and not too noisy. And that's how we came out with Chow-Chow or Labs. But after some in depth readings, Chows seems to be a very dominant dog! They only bow to one owner and hostile to any other family members! They are also very difficult to train as it's not the brightest breed. Oh gosh, even though the Chows are such cutie pie munchkin

Post Wedding Getaway

The very next day after our wedding dinner, my newly wed hubby took me to a post wedding getaway to Banjaran Hotspring in Ipoh. It was a heaven on earth place, really. The feeling is like going up heaven and back to earth for a day trip. Of course, great experience with great price to pay, the room rates rank from MYR 1,800++. Wilson took the Garden Villa, with a private courtyard, private swimming pool and hot spring Jacuzzi. We started journey at about 10am, after having breakfast. My dear hubby drove was all fresh that morning, even after an eventful dinner the night before. We drove straight down to Ipoh and arrived around 1pm. The entrance was not too difficult to find, there is a big road sign to trail all the way in. - The Banjaran's location, it's a real gem hidden in Ipoh town - We were greeted with real exclusivity. They asked for our car plate number during the phone reservation, and upon our arrival at the gate, the bar opened and guards bowed to us.
