Post Wedding Getaway

The very next day after our wedding dinner, my newly wed hubby took me to a post wedding getaway to Banjaran Hotspring in Ipoh. It was a heaven on earth place, really. The feeling is like going up heaven and back to earth for a day trip. Of course, great experience with great price to pay, the room rates rank from MYR 1,800++. Wilson took the Garden Villa, with a private courtyard, private swimming pool and hot spring Jacuzzi.

We started journey at about 10am, after having breakfast. My dear hubby drove was all fresh that morning, even after an eventful dinner the night before. We drove straight down to Ipoh and arrived around 1pm. The entrance was not too difficult to find, there is a big road sign to trail all the way in.

- The Banjaran's location, it's a real gem hidden in Ipoh town -

We were greeted with real exclusivity. They asked for our car plate number during the phone reservation, and upon our arrival at the gate, the bar opened and guards bowed to us. As we checked in, a tour guide was tasked to show us around and bring us to our room in a buggy car.
- Our Villa number Seven -

- Upon stepping into the villa, this is what we saw... awwwww!!! a private pool!! -

- Lovely private swimming pool and umbrella seat -

- The large courtyard next to the private pool, with a view of the great mountain at the hind of the villa -

- The super king size bed -

- The study table and the door to the other side of the room -

- At the other side, right we have a walk in wardrobe -

- and left we have the sink area, one for each of us with all possible toiletries available  -

- and walk across that area would be toilet on the right and a shower area on the left -

- From the shower area, there is a path towards the hot spring Jacuzzi and outdoor rain shower -

- Look! A private hot spring Jacuzzi! -

The hot spring water temperature is adjustable with the taps (hot spring water tap and normal tap water)

- The newly wed W and J -

Of course, I jumped into the pool almost immediately after checking out the villa. I love swimming like hell.

- Complimentary Pomelo fruit to Mr and Mrs Wilson Lai, ekhem.. how does that sounds to you? Gulp, first time being addressed as MRS LAI officially -

- The Water Villas, slightly smaller and lower room rates than our garden villa, Wilson didn't opt for this as there is no big courtyard in the room -

- After resting, we stroll around the resort, admiring the beautiful and serene environment, heavenly is the word -

- The Garra Rufa pond aka fish spa free to use as we like.. paid for it lor -

- Foot Reflexology stone walk in hot spring water. Ouch -

- Walking up the stairs to the caves, we were told the view from up there is great -

- Oh yea, it's great. Really heavenly -

- W & J @ Banjaran -

- In front of the Hot Spring Pool, the main attraction of the Banjaran -

- Inside the Thermal Steam Cave, a natural sauna, camera lens went all blurred due to the steam -

- After the stroll, we went for dinner at the only restaurant in Banjaran - The Pomelo -

- The appetizer: Lobster Bisque (left) and Pomelo salad (right) Both are OK-

The mains: Slow Cooked Duck Breast (left) and Pan fried Salmon (right), The duck is ok, the salmon a little bland on taste -

- After dinner, we headed to the "MUST-GO" attraction here in Banjaran: Jeff's Cellar, only opens at 8pm daily -

- Jeff's Cellar is a giant wine cellar housing the collection of special and expensive wine by the owner of Banjaran, it is built in a grotto where there are lots of stalactites (hanging concretions), stalagmites (ascending concretions) and columns (joined stalactites and stalagmites) to admire there. Considering these concretions took thousands of years to form -

- Jeff's Cellar is a really unique experience, but our tummy were too full for wine and the price of wine there is throat-cutting! -

- Before calling that a day, we took a slow and romantic stroll around the hot spring pool, spiritual music were aired all around the area, giving us a real heavenly experience, as if all the hustle and bustle 2 days ago while we were busy on the wedding, suddenly.. all gone. Holding on to each other, the night scenery just melted us away.. -

- How about waking up to this? (: -

- Next morning, we were up early, as early as 7am, to enjoy the Hot Spring Dipping Pool outside -

- The beautiful hot spring, with a layer of hot steam and clear reflection -

- The dipping pool, total 4 pools available for guests, raw hot spring water is channeled into the pool and then temperature being regulated by tap water -

- We chose the least hot pool, at 36 degree Celcius, everyday the pool temperature will be updated accordingly -

- And we slowly dipped into the pool, enjoying the hot spring water.. problem? what problem? -

- My newly wed hubby too, enjoyed the dip lots -

- There is a rain shower too, showered with hot spring water surrounded by mountain, felt so ancient, so much nature that day -

- After the dip, we were back to our villa, hubby read the paper and I tried to swim in the pool but noway, too coooooold!! -

- Our pre-ordered breakfast then arrived at our doorstep, and served for us in the villa courtyard -

- After eating, we packed our stuff and ready to check out, and there's when a big fat monkey sneaked into our villa to eat our remaining food!! And made hell of mess -

- There, 2 days 1 night we had in Banjaran Hot Spring, Ipoh. Was a heaven on earth, worth every cent we paid. -

- Before leaving, took a photo for token of remembrance, such a lovely and romantic getaway. My thoughtful hubby is really sweet for organizing such out-of-the-world experience for us. Love him loads! -

W.O.T.P.

10th of November 2012, the day we booked our first property together as husband and wife. It was indeed a huge milestone after we signed our ROM papers. This is a luxury condominium developed by Selangor Dredging Berhad and it's located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Batu 9, Cheras Selatan. This is a very interesting development because it is situated on 8.9 acres of Freehold land with 4.2 acres of landscaped environment (Yes, half of the development is actually greenery!) The unit built-up range between 916 sq. ft. to 4,311 sq. ft. and sold for about RM450 - RM680 per square feet.  We bought a unit at Block C which is lowest block on the left. Location of W.O.T.P. with proposed MRT station few kilometers away.  The lovely greenery and facilities are really serene and awesome! What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i

Life

I'll be quarter a century old in a day. In a day's time my birthday would come, and most probably would just simply go. Didn't expect much this year, or maybe age has certain impact on me. I'll be 25 soon. This is so alarming scary, time just flew too fast. Everything changes. I looked like awfully nerdy 3 years ago when I was still in UPM. I've started working one year ago, this was the fastest one year in my life. Life has been so committed to work and work, I couldn't realise time flew across and here I am. Evaluating what I've done over the past 1 year. I've learnt many many things, both in life and in work. From an ordinary 2nd upper graduate to now a project engineer. Nothing big achieved but I felt contented, at least I'm working towards my goal. It's just kinda overwhelming to think back times, was so excited on the 1st day of kindy, was so nervous going into primary school compound, was so trilled to step into secondary school, was so c
