Well well.. it's negative

Wrote this on Friday (21st June):

My period supposed to due tomorrow but up to today I have no usual PMS symptoms like mood swings or sore breast. But instead I felt rather different this month, with a significantly bigger breast and a little sting on the uterus since 1 week ago. I also have real frequent urination experience, like every 20mins I visited the loo at office. On top of it, I'm also having bad headache everyday from 3pm onwards. Bad headache plus a stomach filled with wind/gas/bloat whatever! I dragged the days from 3 to 6pm to leave office. Upon reaching home, I'm already in bed around 9+ and probably asleep soundly latest by 10, without me realizing it! And another funny thing is that I'm having a weird crave for hot water -.-'' I love the taste so much now, even if it's kind burning my lips and tongue. I'm not sure all these weird feelings are my new PMS symptoms or could I be possibly pregnant?

So I checked more scientifically. I was charting my basal temperature since 4 months ago. Usually by the time my period is due in 1 or 2 days, my temperature would drop. But this month, it stayed up there until today, the 15th day after suspected ovulation day. According to my experienced friends, it could be a very big possibility cause usually the 14th day after ovulation temperature would drop and menses would come. But not yet, it's mid of the day now, no signs or sensation of menses at all.

Apart from this, I was feeling really weird starting a week ago, the tingling sensation around my uterus is not normal! Never have it before! So I googled and thought if it could be the little cramps generated from implantation of the fertilized egg onto my uterus lining? Or it could be simply a PMS symptom? And my significantly larger and fuller and heavier breast, ekhem, my husband is the one that realized this and well, informed me bout it. So with all these weird experiences, I zombie-d my way to Guardian Pharmacy and bought a pregnancy test kit. I do not know which to choose exactly, they all looks alien to me. So I simply choose 1 which has a pipette in it and I like to pipette stuff and it's like chemistry laboratory back then in school. (haha)

Before testing, I asked myself.. What if it's negative, would I be disappointed? What if it's positive, will I be ready? will my husband be ready? Or if it's simply too early to test? So I fought through these thoughts anyhow and tada, it was negative. I look at the stick changed colour, the 1st red line emerged and then I waited for like few seconds, the 2nd line didn't emerge, and I discarded the kit. (I know, I know... I should have waited!!) I didn't know that I should wait for at least 2 minutes before checking on the result again, and especially since I tested so early, the HcG hormone suppose is still very low and the 2nd line if it's there it should be super duper faint.

So I bought another test kit yesterday night, this time I researched a little on the brand, and apparently my friends all advise me to get a better one like Clear Blue or something. So I bought one that cost around RM30. And kept it until this Sunday, which my period will be 1 day late by then.

For now, I'm just listening to my body, whether or not I'm pregnant, this experience is really out of the world and exciting. Even if I'm not pregnant this time, I felt I'm 1 step closer to being ready.

:)

*POST-EDIT*

We're not pregnant, menses visited right on the day it supposed to, on Saturday, as per my normal cycle length. Just realized that's this thing called "Luteal Phase" and mine is likely not 14 days (average) and it's actually normal between 10 to 16 days. I suppose, this baby making thingee, is not when you want it, you get it. Now, without doubt I will go sign the offer letter from another company. Of course now the truth is out for this month I felt really disappointed. But, well.. it's actually officially only first month we're really trying out..

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i...

New Haircut

A haircut for the new beginning :) My previous hairstyle was BOB, I took courage to cut it short last 2 years. So for the last 2 years I didn't visit saloon at all. Finally today I thought I have to cut off my out-of-shape hair, I have to trim it back into shape! Quite bored with layered hairstyle, so I tried the straight cut.. to make my hair look fuller and straight. Not bad, I quite like this hairstyle~ It's a preparation before I make digital perm later :P Long & Straight hair - Love it!

Flashbacks

- How it all started - I entered Victoria Institution, as a form 6 student. On the first day of school, we were divided into classes of FM 1 and FM 2. I was allocated in FM 2, and so did most of BBGS girls. We were contented with the arrangement, but not someone. He was from BBSP school, which I had never heard of. All other BBSP students were allocated in FM 1, with him as an alien in our class. I believe he was really angry with the arrangement. The class teacher promised him to swap, provided he top our FM2. Most of the time he won't be spending time in our class and preferred loitering around in the other class. We didn't really care much bout him and so did he. We didn't interact much, but in the class he was a gem to the teachers. Our chemistry teacher liked him so much that she told me, "that boy sitting at the edge of the class (referring to him) is a very good and clever boy ya?"I smirked :\ After many weeks, finally we had group...
