Almost There: Week 38

Baby bump update at Week 38. I weight about 59.8kg at this point; gained 13kg so far from pre-pregnancy.  Since baby is coming real soon, we have finally set up the nursery room nicely to welcome the little one. The first month baby would be staying in the nursery with Confinement Lady. His cot with nice mattress, bumper and mosquito net is well set up. I have also bought a musical mobile to clip on the cot hopefully would give him some entertainment. Other things prepared in the nursery is a changing table with waterproof padding in case he "spray" all over. And of course a chest of drawer to keep all his clothing. We do prepare a single bed, for the confinement lady on the first month and myself later. In case I'm breastfeeding and need a place to sleep/lie down in the midnight. In order for baby to sleep in nursery, I invested in a baby monitor to make sure he's alright next door. Well, hope our plan works out to have baby sleeping in nursery himsel

Pregnancy Update: Week 32

Ever since Dayre application existed, I've started recording my daily life revolving around much about my pregnancy. But of course I wouldn't neglect my blog too. I'm now at Week 32 pregnant with my baby boy. Decision on his name We have thought over Gordon, Tim, Thomas.. But hubby and I couldn't fell in love with any of these names. Since we are both not expert in Chinese language, we had my father in law to suggest the Chinese name for my baby. I decided to have the middle name "Ze" 泽 and FIL came out with 2 options for the last name; "Han" 翰 or "Jian" 健. So hubby made decision on Han and he also suggested Han to be used as his call-name thus he needs no English name. And I think this is a brilliant idea! Ze means choices and Han means scholar. So here, our baby boy has a name.. Ze Han. We'll be calling him, baby Han :-) Well, this is still subject to the compatibility to his birth date and time, which

So I think this application is the latest trend. It's some sort like a blogging app + instagram, so it's bloggram? It is so convenient to blog about many of the daily stuff in a simple app, and there are cute stickers to be used to make the blogging more fun. I think it's great to have this on-the-go blogging app so I would be able to keep a journal of my late maternity journey and perhaps on my parenthood later on. Of course with this Dayre app, the real blog maybe abandoned sooner or later. But hopefully I could do both, so if (I said, IF...) Dayre or Blogger decided to cease operation like Winamp or MSN messenger, I still have my journal from years ago. So, I think, from now on the blog entry would be much lesser.. not that it's a lot anyway :D

Entering third and final trimester

Photo updates: Me at 27 weeks - 3rd trimester! Actually I'm not sure if I'm now in 3rd trimester, according to this website  Pregnancy Length , upon entering Week 27 is at month 7th and also starting of 3rd trimester: But some sources do say you're only entering 3rd trimester in the 28th week. Ah so confusing!  Gotta Pee. Like. Now. Starting this week, I feel like my bladder can only hold so little water and I have to go pee every now and then. It become worse when my boy is actively squirming, kicking and I'm caught in a traffic jam or a long meeting with major client or even simply after lying down, reluctant to get up. Almost every night I have to wake up at least 1 time to clear the bladder. Oh, so this is how nature prep us mother-to-be for the sleepless nights when baby finally arrives? Backache and sleeping issues My baby bump is relatively bigger at this point of time, so it does give a very heavy burden to my back. Even before

My beloved 4-legged

No, I have not forgotten my dearest Cocoa, she just celebrated her 1st birthday last 16th of November and I felt so obligated to write an update post about her since the last post is when we got her home. 1. Unwilling to sleep in her cage/ room The few first nights we have her home was disaster. Just like new parents, we coped with her cries and whines.. As we caged her at night. She poop and pee  everywhere in the cage, stepped and bathed in it. We got to clean the poop early in the morning before leaving to work, this is too much work so it left us no choice but to let loose of her sleeping in our room. She definitely has separation anxiety. Still remembers vividly that we took turns waking up at night to bring her out for poop n pee. As puppy unable to hold their bladder through the night yet. Only by around 6 month old she is able to sleep through the night, and so does us. - First night home, caging her wasn't successful, sigh - 2. Training I'm not a goo

Pregnancy Updates: Half way there!

I'm 20 weeks pregnant now! It's a halfway milestone and it has been really smooth *touch wood* so far since the beginning of 2nd trimester. The vomiting and nausea seems to be gone overnight as I moved into Week 14. The very day my iPhone app congratulate me on my milestone, I felt a gush of energy rushing back to my body. And, for the first time in 3 months I felt... hungry! It was such a great feeling, I got ready to work and before heading out, I put up joss sticks to thank god for this miracle. And I kept my fingers, toes and everything crossed this feeling last. I bet my baby is a very punctual baby, just like the daddy. So with the deadly morning sickness gone, I am feeling myself again and started to enjoy the pregnancy much. My rhintis seems to get better after hubby installed the air purifier in our room and I get good sleeps every night with clear nostrils. My bump is showing and everyone is quite surprised to see a bump at just beginning of 3rd month. I research

Pregnancy Update: 1st Trimester

Cloud 9 about us being pregnant did not last too long. When I started the 6th week of pregnancy the world seems to turn around. I lost ALL my appetite on food. Yes, morning sickness kicked in and it was really hitting me hard without any signs. I was literally vomiting every single drop of juice in my stomach EVERY morning. It was sour and bitter, I just couldn't stop it until I totally ruined the throat. I vomit at the trigger of cigarette smell, oily food smell and any kind of irritant that I've not thought of before. I vomit in the mid of the night, first thing awake, while driving to work (ever ready plastic bags in the handbag), on the way walking from carpark to office, in the office, after lunch, after dinner.... You name it. At least 10 times a day. And lasted from the 6th week to the end of 1st trimester.  Not a single food can make me feel hungry. Experienced friends advices me to munch on crackers, but I hate the taste. I went on days without being ab
