Actual Day - Morning Session (Pt 1)

I would really want to blog lengthy post about my wedding day since ages ago. But time is really not permitting me to sit down and have a few good ol' minutes for myself. Am still quite unable to accept the fact that..

WE'RE MARRIED!! Surreal, that every single day now I'm waking up with the love of my life next to me. Here's the recap what happened on the very day he came to my home to pick me up, his bride.

All the Chinese Customary Items ready since the day before, the chicken apparently to "lead" the couple's troop back to groom's home.

My bridal shoes

My make up artist, Xiao Yan from Aspial was already working on me at 7am sharp. We estimated the groom's troop to be here by 10am.

My beloved mommy was really busy that morning, preparing and memorizing what are the items to burn, display, present to gods on Chinese custom side.

Brother's pug boy, Albert was also "dressed up" with his best collar for the big day

At around 8am, Xiao Yan started dressing my hair, with the pre-agreed hairstyle: Princess-ly. She helped me out wearing the wedding gown before hand.

My pretty sisters, in hot pink theme started to flood my house at half pass 8, preparing to give the groom troop some challenges

By 9am, I'm done. I absolutely LOVE my dress and make up that morning, I haven't felt so beautiful in entire life so far.

Groom and his brothers arriving around 9:40am, 20 minutes ahead of the schedule. My youngest brother, Bob was tasked to open the car door for the groom and he got a fat angpow for that!

My groom, armed with a beautiful bouquet in his hand, all ready to storm over the sisters to claim his bride

The brothers were treated with a shot of Yomeishu or Bailey as welcome drink. Sent 1 of them down, throwing up

Love Potion, they call it.

In the love potion, the guys supposed to pick up something like raisins or beans in the cup to form the word "W ❤ J"

Next challenge, the girls shown them our pre-wedding photo with greatest pose. And the guys supposed to imitate the pose. With gears on, "dresses"...

and lipstick...

There you go.. all ready to pose....!!

Pose 1

Successful!

Pose 2

Pass!

Pose 3 - not bad! And there.. they won the 2 challenges set up by my uni sisters.

Next! The high school sisters set up their artistic skills to carve bread into letters! This time the groom is involved.

Bread to carved into Wilson ❤ Jessie

Voila! Didn't look too difficult for them? The  was done by the groom and later on presented to the bride! Erm, W was missing?

With that 3 challenges, the troop was allowed to come up to my apartment. The groom gave the head of sisters a packet of big fat angpow, for opening the door to him and the brothers.

Final challenge was set up for the groom himself, to recite and sign the 10 commandments to his bride at the doorstep. And then, sing a song to serenade me, LOL.

As he was singing the song for me, I was already teary. Never had him singing in public before.

Finally, he went through all the challenges and the door is opened. Me, the bride awaiting him in the room.

He presented me with the wedding band, beautiful bouquet and the Heart-bread he carved.

There, he successfully claimed his bride!

And outta from the room we went!

Mommy and us praying to god for smooth and blissful marriage, led by the chaperon lady

Tea Ceremony - present tea to elders generation, Chaperon lady Doris was really helpful here, organizing the ceremony with lively mood and atmosphere

Tea Ceremony - Younger generation present tea to us

After that we feed each other with "Tang Yuen" as symbol to love and sweet marriage

Before departing, we hugged my mommy farewell and thank her for the years taking care and bringing me up. Me and her were all teary this moment.

Together with the entourage, mommy carried the red umbrella to shield me out towards the bridal car, symbolize all well without obstacle in our marriage.

Finally we depart, from my home to the groom's home, our new home.

End of Part 1: Fetching the bride
Next Post: Arriving in our new home :)

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i...

Flashbacks

- How it all started - I entered Victoria Institution, as a form 6 student. On the first day of school, we were divided into classes of FM 1 and FM 2. I was allocated in FM 2, and so did most of BBGS girls. We were contented with the arrangement, but not someone. He was from BBSP school, which I had never heard of. All other BBSP students were allocated in FM 1, with him as an alien in our class. I believe he was really angry with the arrangement. The class teacher promised him to swap, provided he top our FM2. Most of the time he won't be spending time in our class and preferred loitering around in the other class. We didn't really care much bout him and so did he. We didn't interact much, but in the class he was a gem to the teachers. Our chemistry teacher liked him so much that she told me, "that boy sitting at the edge of the class (referring to him) is a very good and clever boy ya?"I smirked :\ After many weeks, finally we had group...

R.O.M Preparation Pt 1

Took a glance at the "daisy-path" time line at the right corner of this blog, my oh my.. in less than 2 months will be our big moment - Registration of Marriage! For the past 1.5 months we have been actively preparing for this big day. This big day where we pen down our love, commitment, promise, companionship, MARRIAGE... on paper. 1. Date - We secured the 22/06/2012 at the National Registration Department. We had our registration form pinned up on the board and NO one objected to our union. 2. Attire - I would love a nice white knee length dress for this event. So we searched up and down at Mid Valley, Pavilion and Uptown etc for the perfect dress. Finally, from some forum recommendation, I visited the "D'Glit.ters" boutique at Plaza Damas, Seri Hartamas and found it. It's a white laced knee length dress tube topped with a beige colour ribbon at the waist line. And to match this dress I need a pair of beige/white/ivory coloured heels. We again...
