Actual Day - Dinner Session

The big day is here - 13.01.13 - our wedding dinner. All the preparations, nervousness will be realized today. We will walk down the aisle as married couple witnessed by our dearest family, friends and colleagues. We had more relaxed wedding dinner as we decided to have it the day after our actual day morning session.

Me and groom with a whole car fulled with costumes and props arrived at Grand Palace Restaurant, Pavilion at 2:30pm. Our family arrived minutes after. We met the restaurant manager and got the make up room for preparation. Xiao Yan and Youri, my make up artist arrived at 3pm and started make up on my mother and Wilson's mom. We were organizing things around, I brief my brother, MH on the itinerary again. He was tasked as the main coordinator of the event. And my best jimui, Cammy to aide.

- The restaurant is ready for us by 5-ish -

- Our names are up there, it's our day -

- Grand Palace's entrance and our reception area -

- The main VIP Table -

- I organized a little photobooth area with self made props -

- And with my brother's help on the camera side -

- Our friends enjoyed the photobooth, even little Michelle (Teng's daughter) posed -

- Wilson's cousin's daughter , Rachel all dressed up as our receptionist of the day -

- As early as 6, guests start flooding in, all our family members helped to welcome the guests -

- My friends helped with the reception as well! -

- The bride is here! My make up is done at around 7pm, I was accompanied by my bestie, Cammy -

- Like mom like daughter? -

- Posing with my dearest cousin sisters, my flower girls for the night -

- Bride & Groom poses before the march-in, butterflies ALL over our stomach! -

- The first march-in song we chose is "Dreams come true" by Jon Secada and Rebecca Holden; as the music prelude play, my flower girls marched in slowly and gracefully showering the floor with flower petals, so proud of them! -

- Then it's our turn, the emcee announced our names,  hand-in-hand we marched in, the hall was pitched black with a light source in front of us, my mind was blank, I can only smile, hearing claps and cheers from guests, it was such an amazing moment that will last forever in our hearts -

- Upon seated, we posed for a photo at the VIP table, with the whole world in front of us, that smile was truly screaming happiness -

- The food is served right after we were seated, our family members were all busy attending to guests -

- Our childhood montage is aired then, our guests got a glimpse of our 11 years courtship love story -

- During the 2nd dish, I was summoned in by my make up artist to change into my night gown and have the 2nd make over, then we had the 2nd march in. This time we selected Perry Como's Magix Moment as the march in song, more relaxed and light -

- We marched straight up the stage, with emcee's guidance to "cut" the wedding cake -

- Then to open the champagne and filled up champagne glasses in stack -

- An then emcee invited our family members up the stage for champagne toasting -

- And then we did the famous hand in hand champagne drinking as a couple -

- After us taking the stage, it comes the table to table toasting part, we cheers with our families and friends at each table and thanked them for their blessing and attendance -

- Yummmm Seeengggg!!! It took us an hour plus to round the whole floor! -

- Finally around 11pm, we bid our guests goodbye, hugs and blessing overflowed us that night -

Before leaving we had rounds of group photo with the respective groups of  friends, without doubt, those who turned up in our wedding is really our true friends and will really cherished our friendship -

Before leaving, my newly wed hubby's brothers really celebrated his end of bachelorhood well. They fed him with many many glasses of red wine and sent him off the feet that night. It was a really happy and joyous celebration seeing the fun and laughter we all had.

That concluded our wedding dinner. It was a really eventful weekend, Thanks to the photos, we managed to recall what happened that day in slow motion. That weekend, is by far the happiest days in my life, our life. From this day on, we are legally, officially, truthfully married. We will cherish and love each other, till the end of time.

A new chapter is about to unfold... us, in married life :)

W.O.T.P.

10th of November 2012, the day we booked our first property together as husband and wife. It was indeed a huge milestone after we signed our ROM papers. This is a luxury condominium developed by Selangor Dredging Berhad and it's located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Batu 9, Cheras Selatan. This is a very interesting development because it is situated on 8.9 acres of Freehold land with 4.2 acres of landscaped environment (Yes, half of the development is actually greenery!) The unit built-up range between 916 sq. ft. to 4,311 sq. ft. and sold for about RM450 - RM680 per square feet.  We bought a unit at Block C which is lowest block on the left. Location of W.O.T.P. with proposed MRT station few kilometers away.  The lovely greenery and facilities are really serene and awesome! Facilities: 50m lap pool Children’s wading pool Children outdoor play area Teen’s play area 2 nos. of indoor badminton courts Gym/ aerobic room Function hall by the pool (6 ban

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i

Life

I'll be quarter a century old in a day. In a day's time my birthday would come, and most probably would just simply go. Didn't expect much this year, or maybe age has certain impact on me. I'll be 25 soon. This is so alarming scary, time just flew too fast. Everything changes. I looked like awfully nerdy 3 years ago when I was still in UPM. I've started working one year ago, this was the fastest one year in my life. Life has been so committed to work and work, I couldn't realise time flew across and here I am. Evaluating what I've done over the past 1 year. I've learnt many many things, both in life and in work. From an ordinary 2nd upper graduate to now a project engineer. Nothing big achieved but I felt contented, at least I'm working towards my goal. It's just kinda overwhelming to think back times, was so excited on the 1st day of kindy, was so nervous going into primary school compound, was so trilled to step into secondary school, was so c
