Our Registration of Marriage

After months of preparation, we finally penned our marriage registration on 22nd of June 2012! It was a truly memorable and lovely day..

I was awake at 5.30am to get ready on the big day. Karen, the make up artist arrived at my house at 6.15am and started a full make up and hairdo on me. By the time my make over was done, I looked into the mirror and I almost couldn't believe my eyes. Karen transformed me into another person and almost everyone said they couldn't recognize me with make up. Or perhaps the make up was too heavy? But ah well.. this IS my R.O.M, a once a lifetime thingy so I bet it's OK to put on these make ups.

- All set to go get married XD -

Me and fiance went on different cars, he fetched his parents and I fetched my family. We reached the National Registration Department in Putrajaya Precinct 2 at 9.15am. I was a little late, even my best friends were all there before me. LOL. 22nd June, perhaps it was a really auspicious day. We were overwhelmed by the huge crowd at the registration counter! We took our queue number and waited for the number to be called. At the meantime, we had photoshoots and chit chat with our families and friends. They were there to accompany us through the whole event.

- Our queue number was called, we then submitted ours and witness's identification cards for process -

- My pretty best friends, my bridesmaids -

- My pretty married bridesmaids :-D -

After almost 1.5 hours of waiting, or rather 1.5 hours of photography and laughter/chats, finally our names were called and we marched towards the ceremony room.

- Ceremony room 2 -

Our witnesses were Wil's father and my mother for this ceremony. So the 4 of us took a seat on the long rectangular table, surrounded by family and friends. Felt really blessed to have all of them around. Our officer for that day is a very lovely lady by the name Kausar. We were told to lift our right hand while she smiled and read the vow, followed by a promising "I do" from us. We then signed the marriage certificate, 3 copies, one for the bride, one for the groom and one for the department's record.

- Reading the vow -

- Us, signing on the marriage certificate -

With the signatures penned onto the certificate, we are legally wedded. We then exchanged our wedding rings and finally kissed to complete the ceremony. Cheers and blessing from family and friends warmed the ceremony room.

- Legally, Officially Mr and Mrs Lai -

Photography sessions were next. There was a backdrop stage in the ceremony room for photography sessions. We took turn to smile at the cameraman, Chee Lung and captured the lovely atmosphere at the moment.

- My in laws -

- My family -

- My best friends -

After the ceremony we headed to a short portrait photography sessions around Putrajaya Pullman Resort while our families headed to Loong Sing Restaurant for lunch.

- Our ROM portrait photography -

We were overjoyed and I felt teary inside, finally after 11 years of courtship, we tied the knot as husband and wife. We now move towards our new chapter of life, hand-in-hand to build a family of our own. We truly cherish each other and now our love blossom with a promise, a vow, a simple.. "I do" till death do us part.

Hi Ming Fong,
My hand bouquet was from Bright Garden Florist in Mid Valley Megamall, KL. It was a free gift from the Diamond & Platinum cause we bought the wedding band with them.

W.O.T.P.

10th of November 2012, the day we booked our first property together as husband and wife. It was indeed a huge milestone after we signed our ROM papers. This is a luxury condominium developed by Selangor Dredging Berhad and it's located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Batu 9, Cheras Selatan. This is a very interesting development because it is situated on 8.9 acres of Freehold land with 4.2 acres of landscaped environment (Yes, half of the development is actually greenery!) The unit built-up range between 916 sq. ft. to 4,311 sq. ft. and sold for about RM450 - RM680 per square feet.  We bought a unit at Block C which is lowest block on the left. Location of W.O.T.P. with proposed MRT station few kilometers away.  The lovely greenery and facilities are really serene and awesome! What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i

Life

I'll be quarter a century old in a day. In a day's time my birthday would come, and most probably would just simply go. Didn't expect much this year, or maybe age has certain impact on me. I'll be 25 soon. This is so alarming scary, time just flew too fast. Everything changes. I looked like awfully nerdy 3 years ago when I was still in UPM. I've started working one year ago, this was the fastest one year in my life. Life has been so committed to work and work, I couldn't realise time flew across and here I am. Evaluating what I've done over the past 1 year. I've learnt many many things, both in life and in work. From an ordinary 2nd upper graduate to now a project engineer. Nothing big achieved but I felt contented, at least I'm working towards my goal. It's just kinda overwhelming to think back times, was so excited on the 1st day of kindy, was so nervous going into primary school compound, was so trilled to step into secondary school, was so c
