- How it all started -

I entered Victoria Institution, as a form 6 student. On the first day of school, we were divided into classes of FM 1 and FM 2. I was allocated in FM 2, and so did most of BBGS girls. We were contented with the arrangement, but not someone. He was from BBSP school, which I had never heard of. All other BBSP students were allocated in FM 1, with him as an alien in our class. I believe he was really angry with the arrangement. The class teacher promised him to swap, provided he top our FM2. Most of the time he won't be spending time in our class and preferred loitering around in the other class. We didn't really care much bout him and so did he. We didn't interact much, but in the class he was a gem to the teachers. Our chemistry teacher liked him so much that she told me, "that boy sitting at the edge of the class (referring to him) is a very good and clever boy ya?"I smirked :\ After many weeks, finally we had group work and I was in the same group as him. He loudly asked, "who is this Mika Hakkinen?" (my chinese name is Mei Kar) and I answered, "me.." From his first nicknaming on me, I got to know him. Wilson Lai :)

I guess he did not like me at all, since I was the one topping FM2 that semester with a few points ahead him. He couldn't swap class because of me! Well, of cause, I never like him too! He was always half awake/dreaming in the class. Always giving no damn to everything in FM2. Urgh, and I had to do an important Chemistry project with him, I cursed the teacher for this arrangement. I done my part, and I am not sure how much he did. A day before submission, I called him. His phone is N/A! I kept calling for endless times, and "Shit!" I told myself. I got myself ready to face the music the next day. But to my amazement, he came with a project booklet in his hand, colour printed with nice binding! And said, "Is this OK?" Hmph! He seems perfectly ignorant but in fact he is thoughtful. Oh, and his phone was N/A cause he changed the number.

So from that day onwards, my impression on him changed, somehow...

Our friendship grew then, as if there were endless stories to tell each other. *psst... we're still like this now* We discussed and debated everything under the sun, chat on the phone for hours! He helped me a lot on Maths and Physics, while I did better in Chemistry and PA. Finally in the next semester, he topped the class, with few marks ahead me. And I happily said, "Hey bro, you CAN change your class now!" But, he didn't, which kept me wondered, why..?
  • Why he seemed mad when I called him, bro..?
  • Why he seemed mad when I said I had Anorexia?
  • Why he seemed mad when I had to walk back to school with another guy friend?
  • Why his friend told me to "take note" of him?
  • But... why he kept messing up with my stuff? Hid my tumbler, grafiti-ed my table, miss-called my hp during exams! *argh! he drove me crazy!*
And then one day, a special day, my birthday, he handed a parcel to me, after our tuition classes and said, "Happy Birthday". We did not mention, but I felt the sparkles and so did him, I believe. The next day, while we were alone in the class during break time, he suddenly grabbed my hand but he didn't speak! I was struck and didn't know how to react! So we just kept quiet until someone stormed into the class and I shrugged off his hand. Oh well, suppose this was how we started off our 8 years relationship. He did not officially asked me to be his girlfriend, but the shines in his eyes confirmed his sincerity. I told myself, "Yes, he is the one" And we made my birthday, 26th of July as our courtship anniversary :)

Chinese Wedding Customs

We religiously followed the Chinese tradition for our wedding, quite many efforts were put in to fulfill the customs but nevertheless it made our wedding events more colourful and lovely. 1. Tai Chan (Wedding Initiation) The very first custom for a Chinese wedding is "Tai Chan" which means the Groom's family would make a visit to the Bride's family to initiate the intention for wedding, check on the compatibility of the couple and discuss on the "terms & conditions". But in modern days, this step is basically just a casual meet up between the 2 families to discuss on dinner details or any special customs arrangement for different dialect group etc. This is the case due to usually both families had already meet up during the R.O.M after lunch and they both should be well notified and acknowledged of the union. So Wilson's parents came along to my home for this, and we had a good discussion on especially the dinner part. We are organizing

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i

W.O.T.P.

10th of November 2012, the day we booked our first property together as husband and wife. It was indeed a huge milestone after we signed our ROM papers. This is a luxury condominium developed by Selangor Dredging Berhad and it's located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Batu 9, Cheras Selatan. This is a very interesting development because it is situated on 8.9 acres of Freehold land with 4.2 acres of landscaped environment (Yes, half of the development is actually greenery!) The unit built-up range between 916 sq. ft. to 4,311 sq. ft. and sold for about RM450 - RM680 per square feet.  We bought a unit at Block C which is lowest block on the left. Location of W.O.T.P. with proposed MRT station few kilometers away.  The lovely greenery and facilities are really serene and awesome! Facilities: 50m lap pool Children’s wading pool Children outdoor play area Teen’s play area 2 nos. of indoor badminton courts Gym/ aerobic room Function hall by the pool (6 ban
