New Chapter of Life

I've just flipped the new chapter of life when Wilson started his 2nd degree pursue. Now, another chapter.. nola, I'm not getting married..yet. Zimuis.. you girls have to wait.. me too.. have to wait!!

My new chapter of life, a new job! I got an offer from a German company making solar panels for the post Facility (Ultra Pure Water) Engineer.

The whole process of employing me took about a week, 7 days only. They emailed me bout the job vacancy and asked if I was interested to apply or not. So well, I tried applying.. No harm, I thought. The next day someone called me and requested that I come for an interview. I think I was lazy at that time and rejected that interview. But they insisted I do a phone interview with them. So, well.. no harm again I thought. From phone interview they changed to MSN interview. Hahaha.. have you heard of MSN interview? Ok, a lil fishy here I thought. I did do the MSN interview thingee and the manager requested to see my certs and finally I agreed to meet at a mamak stall near my house for a brief discussion. Ok, moreee fishy now. So I got help from Wilson to accompany me, so so nice of him. We had the discussion, he briefed me on the company's stuff and asked me to explain my experience in water treatment plant designs to him. Threw me tonnes of technical questions I almost suffocate answering them. He ended the discussion by giving me a few assignments. I did some research on the company and decided to go for it. They are one of the biggest solar cell panel manufacturer in the world!

So, yeap.. I got their offer letter yesterday. Their offer is a little lower than my expectation, but considering being the pioneer in the new industry and new technology. I decided to go for it. What I was offered is still much higher than what I have in my current company. This new company will send me to Germany for a 20days training by end of September. I'm so so excited now! Never been to Europe before!

I'm so looking forward to the new chapter of my life.
:D

P/S - I just couldn't figure out why some people are so shallow and commented that this is a scam I got. Excuse me, are they envious or what? Must it be an old and established company only they would say good? Any new ventures, new industry, new tries are all SCAM? Don't try to act smart, as if I'm 18 years old and got blinded by the 20 days Germany thing. Just a trip to Europe could blind me? C'mon, simply fork out 10k can easily make a vacation there right? It's about the opportunities to embark in the high-technologies factory that just set their feet in Malaysia. This is the problem with humans, new things are always not good/unacceptable/SCAM at first, later when the new tech is established, they will fight and grab opportunities to go in. I'm doing it first hand and they said it's a scam. How shallow, how weird people are.

This is why Malaysian will always be the one lagging behind the world. Malaysian will never invent Facebook, Friendster, Google or Youtube. Malaysian will always be the one working for people and yak bout it when the things are invented/established.

Chinese Wedding Customs

We religiously followed the Chinese tradition for our wedding, quite many efforts were put in to fulfill the customs but nevertheless it made our wedding events more colourful and lovely. 1. Tai Chan (Wedding Initiation) The very first custom for a Chinese wedding is "Tai Chan" which means the Groom's family would make a visit to the Bride's family to initiate the intention for wedding, check on the compatibility of the couple and discuss on the "terms & conditions". But in modern days, this step is basically just a casual meet up between the 2 families to discuss on dinner details or any special customs arrangement for different dialect group etc. This is the case due to usually both families had already meet up during the R.O.M after lunch and they both should be well notified and acknowledged of the union. So Wilson's parents came along to my home for this, and we had a good discussion on especially the dinner part. We are organizing

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i

10th of November 2012, the day we booked our first property together as husband and wife. It was indeed a huge milestone after we signed our ROM papers. This is a luxury condominium developed by Selangor Dredging Berhad and it's located at Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Batu 9, Cheras Selatan.
