Bali Trip Day 3

The third day of our trip kicked off with the same breakfast by the villa balcony. We ordered banana pancake and amazingly it tasted great! It was a blend of oriental and western taste. Simple breakfast, but we were satisfied and filled.

After breakfast we went out to start our touring journey as early as 9am! Our first destination of the day was another beautiful rice terrace spot nearby Ubud. Too bad we're here when the rice had been harvested, no greenish or yellowish view of the field but it was still beautiful. We admire the art of the terrace structures much.

- The famous Bali Rice Terrace -

- The viewing huts, for perfect panorama view -

After spending approximately an hour here, we proceed to the next destination.. Kintamani! Kintamani is the most favorite tourist destinations in Bali with the active volcano of mount Batur and beautiful lake. Kintamani is surrounded by the captivating nature and there are six ancient villages around cauldron of Batur Lake. Mount Batur is located at Kintamani and it has erupted about 24 times since year 1800 and still active up to now.

- It's chilly here! -

- One of the most beautiful scene in Bali, the Lake Batur -

After visiting the 2 hot spots, we decided to slow down and take a slow stroll around the island to experience the true Bali. With the jeep we rented, uphill and downhill we go.. north and south.. and came by lots stuff we seldom see in KL.. we visited some hotels, trusting the architecture would awe us.. All these.. are trademarks of Bali..

- The signature sculpture gates -

- Heavenly scene -

- Infinity pool -

- Romantic dinner set-up -

- Artistic sculptures -

- Unique culture (offering to god left on the floor)

We really love everything bout Bali, slowly experiencing the beauty and specialty of it.. was a great great getaway. Something we longed for. Called it a day and had dinner at a stall near hotel. The food was so-so, a bit off-taste for me. Nevertheless, just for the sake to try the local food. :)

- Sprained my leg, aftermath of heavy walking and jumping up & down the jeep -
(Promise NO MORE jeep in the coming trips!!)

Chinese Wedding Customs

We religiously followed the Chinese tradition for our wedding, quite many efforts were put in to fulfill the customs but nevertheless it made our wedding events more colourful and lovely. 1. Tai Chan (Wedding Initiation) The very first custom for a Chinese wedding is "Tai Chan" which means the Groom's family would make a visit to the Bride's family to initiate the intention for wedding, check on the compatibility of the couple and discuss on the "terms & conditions". But in modern days, this step is basically just a casual meet up between the 2 families to discuss on dinner details or any special customs arrangement for different dialect group etc. This is the case due to usually both families had already meet up during the R.O.M after lunch and they both should be well notified and acknowledged of the union. So Wilson's parents came along to my home for this, and we had a good discussion on especially the dinner part. We are organizing

What am I?

It has been some time since I last updated this blog. Heaps of stuff happened and I just had the time to pull a break and evaluate the events that happened to me in the past 1 month. I've changed my job, moving into sales line is not an easy decision to make. I was doubtful with myself until I really come on board. Perhaps it may be too soon to tell where I stand in this job, but I was really thankful that my current boss gave me an insight of myself. We had sessions to understand what are our temperament. This is something that govern what kind of job that fits us. Apparently I am an "Artisan" after few rounds of personality tests. An artisan loves freedom, leads by taking action, seeks to have impact and variation, needs appreciation, a risk taker, problem solver and an opportunist. When I read the full description bout what I am, I immediately understand why I felt in constraint and bored working in the manufacturing line. I am just not that type of person that falls i
