Bali Trip Day 3

The third day of our trip kicked off with the same breakfast by the villa balcony. We ordered banana pancake and amazingly it tasted great! It was a blend of oriental and western taste. Simple breakfast, but we were satisfied and filled. After breakfast we went out to start our touring journey as early as 9am! Our first destination of the day was another beautiful rice terrace spot nearby Ubud. Too bad we're here when the rice had been harvested, no greenish or yellowish view of the field but it was still beautiful. We admire the art of the terrace structures much. - The famous Bali Rice Terrace - - The viewing huts, for perfect panorama view - After spending approximately an hour here, we proceed to the next destination.. Kintamani! Kintamani is the most favorite tourist destinations in Bali with the active volcano of mount Batur and beautiful lake. Kintamani is surrounded by the captivating nature and there are six ancient villages around cauldron of Batur Lake . Mount Batur i

Bali Trip Day 2

We woke up the next morning, feeling all fresh with the gentle cooling breeze and chirping of the birds outside the chalet. As we opened the door, we were thrilled by the tropical Bali feelings round the chalet area. These scenes were so familiar, in the movies, magazines, novels, commercials, cafes, clubs etc.. the "Bali" style; now we're experiencing it in person. - Abangan Bungalow - - Our chalet a.k.a villa - - The walkway in the hotel - - Other types of villa - We ordered our breakfast, scrambled eggs, toasts, fruits and coffee. It was a real relaxation having breakfast at the chalet balcony, looking at the greens. I love this feelings, away from hassle, away from workloads, away from problems. Ah, so divine. :) - Relaxing on the couch, outside the villa, after breakfast - After breakfast we took a stroll down at the Ubud streets. First I saw the signature Bali gate, I was thrilled! "Take photo! Take photo!" I shouted.. So, I posed and took photo. Then, I p

At first we were all excited bout the trip, until the outbreak of AH1N1 virus.. the swine flu that went pandemic; weeks before our trip. So on and off, we have been discussing whether or not to go for the trip and risk on the influenza. In the end, we took up the risk and off we go, to... HEAVEN.. Bali... - Sunset during the flight to Bali - - Mask worn all the way in the flight and also in airport - We landed on Denpasar Airport approx. 10pm; 4th of July, 2009. Immediately we felt the humid weather; Bali island's weather. The hotel driver was already waiting for us upon our arrival, and fetched us to our hotel located in Center Ubud. We been through small winding roads, uphill and downhill. Finally reached the Abangan Bungalow. It was already past 11pm and we suppered with Instant Mee Goreng in the hotel. Amazingly the weather in Ubud was so cooling and
