Chief Minister's Visit

Finally, the first tool has moved in to our fab. Being the biggest investment in Selangor, the Chief Minister decided to pay my company a visit during the tool move in event. It was quite a grand event, though the program only occupied half a day. Many VIPs from Selangor, embassadors of Germany, PKNS and so on attended the ceremony including the press. The event made company Q even more happening. - Company Q - - Company Q's MD and Selangor's CM on the tour around the fab - - The VIPs - - A token of remembrance, Company Q's solar panel for the CM - - The organizer, Khor and usherers (me & Dila) - Eh, I did wear the kebaya borrowed by Dila. Looked extremely Nyonya that day, haha. Ever excited bout the grand opening of Company Q by April 2009. Will be a greater ceremony I presume.. :)

Firelady

Since I'm a member of the Emergency Respond Team in my company, I was sent for a fire safety training in Cyberjaya Bomba. The training includes putting off small fire with fire extinguisher, identifying fire fighting equipments, rescuing casualties from fire, marching and most challenging was to run a fire incident simulation. It was n-th years ago since I last had a marching session. That was with St John's Ambulance, although I used to had much heavier marching session... but now, marching at this age gave me fatigues all over the body. Aiya, I'm only 25.. the last marching session was like 10 years ago, haha. So it was a tough 4 days training, now I knew how to fight small fires and respond to fire incidents appropriately. I was holding the hose with a colleague supporting me at the back. The water was pressurized to only 3bar and I flung to the back when it first started. My colleague supporting me wasn't prepare for my "flung" and I stepped on his legs. S

My New Toy

Here's my latest addiction: Nokia E71 - The Messenger of Steel I love this phone so much, initially I was considering to get the Nokia 5800. But Wilson kept pushing me to consider E71 also. Finally when I get hold of this beauty, I fell in love immediately. Some special stuff I like bout E71: Classy and smart outlook The dimension is perfect: 114 x 57 x 10 mm (The thickness only 1cm!) Full QWERTY keyboard that could be typed with one hand Battery that last for more than a day with heavy usage Symbian OS 9.2, Series 60 v3.1 UI Economical for a smart phone with the great specs, RM 1,350. So I've installed a few useful software for my new phone: Garmin Mobile XT with malfree map (I no longer need to buy GPS, wuhoo..) Fring (to skype, msn and yahoo at the same time) I've also downloaded many stunning themes from www.symbianthemes.us .. I couldn't stop looking at my smarty.. Oh ya, she's named smarty.. haha.. Smarty is such a great phone, never regret to get her instead

25 Random Things Bout Me

Sanju tagged me on Facebook, didn't really want to reveal so much bout myself there. Considering facebook is greater broadcaster than CNN.. Maybe I can do this here.. It's quite interesting to find out more bout myself. Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you. 1. I love cooking, it's really satisfying to see people savoring the stuff you cooked. Especially likes to boil soup.. it's a real art.. wonder if anyone realize that.. 2. I love rabbits and pigs. I have a pet rabbit called "Piggy" (clear enough?) 3. I dislike eating red meat. Thinking of the layers of pork belly, mutton, beef and chicken enough to kill my appetite. I do love seafood though, prawns are my all time favourite! 4. I have "insectophobia". Which mean
